We want Muzos FM to be a welcoming and inclusive place for all lovers of music.
People should be able to share ideas, express opinions, ask questions, have conversations, and disagree without having to worry about harassment, threats, scams or other harmful behaviour.
These Acceptable Use & Community Standards explain what we expect from everyone who uses https://muzos.fm, including when creating a profile, uploading a profile picture, publishing a post or replying to someone else's post.
These Standards form part of our Terms and Conditions.
They apply to all content and activity on https://muzos.fm, subject to any additional requirements that apply under the law of a particular country or region.
1. Our approach
We believe that a healthy community does not require everyone to agree.
We generally allow:
- different opinions and perspectives;
- criticism of people, organisations and ideas;
- humour, satire and parody;
- disagreement and debate; and
- discussion of controversial or sensitive subjects.
2. Minimum age
You must be at least 16 years old to use https://muzos.fm.
By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
You must not create an account on behalf of someone under 16 or help someone under 16 circumvent our age requirements.
If we reasonably believe that an account belongs to someone under 16, we may restrict or terminate the account and take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in this section prevents us from applying a higher minimum age where required by the law applicable to a particular user or service.
3. Illegal content and activity
You must not use https://muzos.fm to publish, upload, share or facilitate content or activity that is illegal under applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, this may include:
- credible threats of violence or serious physical harm;
- unlawful incitement to violence or hatred;
- child sexual abuse or exploitation;
- terrorist content or activity;
- fraud, scams or phishing;
- identity theft;
- unlawful trafficking or other serious criminal activity;
- malware or malicious software;
- unauthorised access to computer systems or accounts;
- unlawful disclosure of private or confidential information;
- unlawful distribution of intimate images;
- content that unlawfully infringes intellectual property rights; or
- other content or activity prohibited by applicable law.
4. Threats, harassment and bullying
You must not use https://muzos.fm to threaten, intimidate or seriously harass another person.
This includes:
- credible threats of violence;
- repeated targeted abuse;
- stalking or threatening behaviour;
- encouraging others to attack or harass someone;
- deliberately publishing someone's private information to intimidate or endanger them; or
- sustained behaviour intended to drive someone out of the community.
5. Hate and discrimination
We want people from different backgrounds to be able to participate in the community.
You must not use https://muzos.fm to unlawfully promote hatred, violence or discrimination against people because of characteristics protected by applicable law.
We may also take action against severe dehumanising or targeted abusive content where it violates these Standards, even where its precise legal status differs between jurisdictions.
Discussion of religion, politics, nationality, culture, sex, gender, sexuality or other sensitive subjects is not prohibited merely because the subject is sensitive.
Criticism of an idea, belief, institution, government or public figure is generally permitted.
6. Personal information and privacy
You must not use https://muzos.fm to expose another person's private information in a way that violates their rights or creates a meaningful risk of harm.
This may include:
- private home addresses;
- private telephone numbers;
- passwords or authentication information;
- financial information;
- private correspondence;
- confidential employment information;
- sensitive personal information; or
- other non-public information that could reasonably put someone at risk.
7. Profile pictures and images
You may upload a profile picture and other images provided that you have the necessary rights to use them and they comply with these Standards.
You must not use images to:
- deceptively impersonate another person;
- threaten or harass someone;
- expose someone to an unreasonable privacy or safety risk;
- distribute illegal material;
- infringe another person's intellectual property rights; or
- otherwise violate these Standards.
8. User posts and replies
You are responsible for the content you submit.
You may post opinions, experiences, questions, criticism, humour and other lawful content.
You must not use posts or replies to:
- threaten or seriously harass another person;
- publish unlawfully obtained private information;
- distribute scams, phishing links or malware;
- impersonate someone deceptively;
- facilitate serious illegal activity;
- infringe intellectual property rights;
- spam the community;
- deliberately manipulate community features; or
- otherwise violate these Standards or our Terms & Conditions.
9. Spam and commercial activity
We want the community to remain useful and enjoyable rather than becoming a collection of advertisements.
You must not use the service for:
- bulk unsolicited messages;
- repetitive promotional posts;
- automated spam;
- deceptive affiliate activity;
- fraudulent promotions;
- misleading commercial claims; or
- other activity that unreasonably disrupts the community.
10. Manipulation and deceptive behaviour
You must not deliberately manipulate the service in ways intended to deceive users or undermine the integrity of the community.
This includes:
- operating fake accounts for deceptive purposes;
- impersonating another person or organisation;
- artificially generating engagement;
- manipulating votes, rankings or other community features;
- coordinated deceptive activity;
- using bots to impersonate genuine users;
- evading account restrictions through new accounts; or
- circumventing technical safeguards or moderation systems.
11. Intellectual property
You must have the necessary rights or permissions to upload and share content.
You must not knowingly upload content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights.
If you believe that content infringes your intellectual property rights, you can report it using our reporting mechanism.
We may operate additional procedures for copyright and other intellectual-property complaints where required by applicable law.
12. Synthetic and manipulated content
We do not prohibit content merely because it has been created or modified using artificial intelligence or other editing tools.
However, you must not use synthetic, manipulated or AI-generated content to:
- impersonate someone deceptively;
- commit fraud;
- facilitate unlawful activity;
- create or distribute unlawful intimate imagery;
- harass or seriously harm another person; or
- otherwise violate these Standards or applicable law.
13. Child safety
Because https://muzos.fm is intended for users aged 16 and over, we take the safety of younger users seriously.
You must not use the service to:
- sexually exploit or groom a minor;
- solicit sexual content from a minor;
- facilitate contact between minors and adults for exploitative purposes;
- encourage a minor to engage in dangerous or unlawful activity;
- distribute child sexual abuse material; or
- otherwise exploit or endanger a child.
14. Reporting content
Every piece of user-generated content on https://muzos.fm has an easily accessible Report link.
You can use the Report link to report:
- potentially illegal content;
- violations of these Community Standards;
- harassment or abuse;
- privacy concerns;
- intellectual-property concerns;
- scams or malicious activity; or
- other content or behaviour that you believe requires our attention.
15. Notices concerning potentially illegal content
Our reporting mechanism provides a way to submit notices concerning content that you believe is illegal.
When making such a report, you should provide enough information for us to identify and assess the content, including where reasonably possible:
- the specific content concerned;
- where the content can be found on our service;
- why you believe it is illegal;
- the relevant legal provision or other basis for your concern, where known; and
- any other information that may reasonably help us assess the report.
16. Reports about our Community Standards
You may also report content that you believe violates these Standards even if it is not illegal.
For example, you may report:
- bullying;
- spam;
- deceptive behaviour;
- disruptive activity;
- inappropriate profile images; or
- other violations of our community rules.
17. What happens after a report
A report does not automatically result in content being removed.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- review the content;
- request additional information;
- determine that no action is required;
- restrict or remove the content;
- limit particular account features;
- reduce the visibility of content;
- temporarily suspend an account;
- permanently terminate an account; or
- take another proportionate measure appropriate to the circumstances.
18. Moderation
We may use both automated tools and human review to help enforce these Standards.
Automated systems may help identify spam, malicious activity, potentially illegal content or possible violations of our rules.
Automated tools may be used to prioritise content for review or to take certain actions where appropriate.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate human oversight, review or other safeguards.
Our moderation practices are intended to avoid unnecessarily restricting lawful expression.
19. Moderation decisions and reasons
Where we take a moderation decision that is subject to applicable legal requirements concerning reasons for decisions, we will provide the affected user with an explanation of the decision.
Where required by the DSA, we will provide a clear and specific statement of reasons, including the relevant contractual or legal basis for the decision and the main facts and circumstances taken into account, subject to any applicable legal exceptions.
Depending on the circumstances, a moderation decision may include:
- removal or restriction of content;
- restriction of visibility;
- suspension of functionality;
- suspension of an account; or
- termination of an account.
20. Proportionate enforcement
Not every violation requires the same response.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- issue a warning;
- request that content be changed;
- remove or restrict content;
- temporarily limit account functionality;
- temporarily suspend an account; or
- permanently terminate an account.
- the seriousness of the conduct;
- whether it was intentional;
- whether it was repeated;
- the potential harm;
- the user's previous conduct;
- the reliability of the information available to us; and
- applicable legal requirements.
21. Appeals and complaints
If we take a moderation decision that affects you and is eligible for review, we will notify you of the decision and, where required by applicable law, provide the reasons for it.
Our notification will explain how you can challenge the decision, including the email address or other electronic method you can use to submit an appeal.
You can submit an appeal by following the instructions provided in the notification.
The internal complaint process is available electronically and without charge.
You may explain why you believe the decision was incorrect and provide relevant supporting information.
Where the DSA applies, eligible complaints will be handled in accordance with the applicable DSA requirements, including review in a timely, diligent, objective and non-discriminatory manner.
Where appropriate, we may reverse or modify the original decision.
If you cannot access the original notification or need assistance with submitting an appeal, you can contact us at [APPEAL EMAIL ADDRESS].
22. Further dispute resolution
Where applicable under the DSA, you may have the right to refer an eligible dispute concerning a moderation decision to an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under the DSA.
Information about available dispute-resolution options will be provided through our complaints process or with the relevant decision.
You also retain any rights to seek judicial or other remedies available under applicable law.
23. False or abusive reports
We encourage users to report genuine concerns and will not penalise someone simply because a good-faith report turns out not to be substantiated.
However, reporting systems must not be deliberately abused.
Where permitted by applicable law, we may restrict reporting functionality where a user repeatedly submits reports that are manifestly unfounded.
Any such restriction will be applied proportionately and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
24. Urgent safety matters
If content or behaviour creates an immediate and serious risk to a person's safety, we may take urgent action without waiting for the ordinary moderation process to conclude.
This may include temporarily restricting content or an account while we investigate.
Where required or permitted by law, we may cooperate with law-enforcement authorities or other competent authorities.
25. Requests from authorities
We may respond to valid requests, orders, notices or other lawful demands from courts, regulators, law-enforcement authorities and other competent bodies where required by applicable law.
Where legally permitted, we will seek to ensure that such requests are appropriately scoped and handled through our applicable legal processes.
26. Geographic and legal differences
https://muzos.fm is available internationally.
The laws governing content and online services differ between countries.
Content that is lawful in one country may be unlawful in another.
Where necessary, we may apply a restriction to particular users, countries or territories rather than restricting content globally.
We may also apply additional safeguards or restrictions where required by local law.
27. Protecting freedom of expression
We recognise that moderation decisions can affect people's ability to express themselves.
Our objective is not to create a community in which everyone must share the same opinions.
We therefore seek to distinguish between:
Lawful disagreement and criticism, which we generally permit,
and
Threats, serious harassment, unlawful activity and other harmful or prohibited behaviour, which may result in action.
Where the law permits us discretion, we aim to exercise that discretion in a proportionate and consistent way.
28. Changes to these Standards
We may update these Standards from time to time to reflect changes to:
- our service;
- our community;
- technology;
- applicable law; or
- our moderation practices.
29. Relationship with our Terms & Conditions
These Standards form part of our Terms & Conditions.
Our Terms & Conditions contain additional information about:
- our service;
- user accounts;
- content moderation;
- restrictions and termination;
- complaints and appeals;
- applicable law;
- intellectual property;
- liability; and
- other rights and obligations.
30. Our Goal
These rules exist to help make https://muzos.fm a place where people genuinely want to spend time.
You can disagree. You can challenge someone's opinion. You can be funny, passionate, political, critical or unconventional.
Just don't use the community to threaten people, seriously harass them, scam them, expose their private information, exploit children, break the law or deliberately make the community worse for everyone else.
We will do our best to enforce these rules fairly, explain significant moderation decisions and give users a meaningful opportunity to challenge decisions that affect them.
Thank you for helping make https://muzos.fm a safe place for all users.
